About Tasha Waller

Tasha grew up in Adelaide and has always had a love for animals and the outdoors. In 2009, Tasha and her husband moved to Tasmania to be closer to nature.

Tasha has been drawing on and off since a teenager, but has not had any formal training or direction.

Tasha is a passionate diver and enjoys capturing the beauty of the underwater world and sharing it with others through her underwater images. In 2021, Tasha was inspired to start drawing some of the marine animals from her images. She invested in a set of artist coloured pencils and quickly developed a love for drawing again. She has developed her own technique over the last few years and expanded from ocean dwellers, to land lovers and sky soarers.

Tasha is very passionate about the preservation of the critically endangered Tasmanian handfishes. She helps support the Handfish Conservation Project through the sales of her artwork.

She has been represented by Wooby Lane Gallery since 2022. Her works are also represented in private collections in Australia, the UK and Germany.

Tasha has won several awards for her artwork in both drawing and photography. She also tries to exhibit her work in exhibitions all around Australia.
