About Tasha Waller
Tasha Waller is a self-taught artist and underwater photographer based in Hobart, Tasmania. Her journey as an artist began with her love of scuba diving and the underwater world. Using her own underwater photographs as inspiration, Tasha started creating vibrant colour pencil drawings of marine life, showcasing the incredible beauty and diversity found beneath the waves.
Over time, her passion for wildlife extended beyond the oceans, inspiring her to include land animals and birds in her repertoire. Tasha’s work now celebrates the full spectrum of wildlife, with a special focus on the unique creatures of Tasmania. Through her art, she hopes to raise awareness and appreciation for animals, particularly those under threat, and to inspire others to connect with and protect the natural world.
Her meticulous and colourful artworks have earned her recognition in both local and international art circles and awards. Tasha’s dedication to wildlife conservation is evident in her exhibitions and collaborations, which often support organisations working to protect endangered species.
