The pygmy possum (Cercartetus lepidus), also known as the little pygmy possum or tiny pygmy possum, is the world's smallest possum. Their bodies are just 6cm long plus another 6cm for their tails and weigh a mere 7g. They are found in Southeastern Australia in the mallee heathlands of the Murray-Darling region in Victoria, South Australia and throughout the forests of Tasmania.
